I’m guessing that you no longer have a home phone with a cord or dial up internet, so why no website? Time to get with the times and get serious about creating a website for your business. Surprisingly, 45% of small businesses reported that they do not have a business website. In today’s virtual world, word of mouth is just not enough anymore. Consumers have more choices and they know how to “Google” to do their research. A website also increases a businesses ability to convey a message, gather feedback, provide product and services information to boost sales. If all of that is not enough to get you motivated to create your own website, here are a few other compelling reasons to consider.
- Customers look for it – Individuals just expect businesses to have a website. In fact, company websites attract more consumers than social media when it comes to product and brand information.
- Credibility – A website can help enhance your firm’s validity as a legitimate business. A 2015 study by Verisign reported that 84% of consumers believe small businesses with websites are more credible than those with no online presence. That presence can be a plus when rivals are trying to take away customers.
- Access on the go – Mobile access continues to rise as consumers on the go use a mobile device, over 51% to be exact. This statistic is remarkable considering it is the first time ever mobile internet usage exceeded desktop usage.
- Information Sharing – Individuals can use a website to type their email into a box on the website. They may even be more inclined to do so if there is an option for them to get a newsletter, notices on special promotions, and other news they can use. The information also provides another channel for you to reach possible customers.
